Holocene co-owners Jay Graham and Clay Griffith acquired the assets and equipment of another regional drilling operation in 1996. Holocene’s rigs were immediately put into service and demand for Holocene quickly grew.
With their extensive experience in the geotechnical and environmental drilling industry, the partners were no strangers to the service side of the drilling industry, having operated rigs and bossed crews in the ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s. The partners had solid relationships with Engineers, Geologists, and Project Managers from some of the largest consulting and contracting firms in the area.
Since then, Holocene has undertaken extensive equipment and safety upgrades to best meet client needs, and amassed thousands of hours of boring and well drilling experience. By judiciously adding key personnel with the same core values, the company has achieved steady growth by building a reputation for excellence in subsurface exploration.
As a result of client needs, Holocene added turnkey temporary construction dewatering services to its portfolio. The company now offers a wide variety of hydraulic wellpoint jetting services, installation, operation and maintenance of vacuum wellpoint pump systems, as well as drilled dewatering wells using submersible pumps.
In addition, the company now offers a full suite of direct push and probe drilling services designed to extend the availability of subsurface exploration options for our environmental drilling clients.
Holocene’s future is bright in the geotechnical, environmental and construction drilling and dewatering industries for many years to come. Our goal is to build on an excellent reputation for client service, drilling efficiency, and drilling innovation unmatched in the Pacific Northwest.
