Geotechnical Drilling Applications

Geotechnical drilling examines stability, classification, and change of soil types, and identifies groundwater depth, movement, location and its impact on soil. Drilling, soil sampling, and installing wells and instrumentation provide data for good pre-construction engineering and design.

Clients use this information to specify engineering recommendations that mitigate settlement, soil movement, or the presence of groundwater that can impact a project.

Geotechnical services include:

  • Sonic Drilling
  • Automatic Hammer Sampling (Calibrated per ASTM D4633-05)
  • Wireline Rock Coring
  • Oriented Continuous Core
  • SPT and Shelby Tube Sampling
  • Direct Push Probe
  • In-situ Instrument Installation and Decommissioning
  • Observation Well Installation and Decommissioning
